On November 2009, I visited Shinzato Yoshihiko Sensei at the Shinjinbukan Plantation Shibu Dōjō located near Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I was accompanied by my fellow Shinjinbukan member Melanie Petrak.

Basic Chīshi Drills
During my visit to Shinzato Sensei, I had the opportunity to teach some of his students. In the pictures below, I explained some of the basics of Chīshi. We started with basic drills dealing with Shiko Dachi and mochikata (How to hold).
Static Push Up Drills
Next, Melanie Petrak demonstrated the Static Push Ups Drills to the students. These drills are very important to develop the correct Shoulder Positions essential for many of our body mechanics.
Machiwara
After class Melanie started hitting the machiwara.
Dōjō Party
During our last night in Florida, we had a small Dōjō Party after class. Shinzato Sensei invited us to his home to enjoy a wonderful meal cooked by his wife.
