アーティス ∙ パブリクス Artis Pabriks − Biographical Note Dr. Artis Pabriks began his Martial Arts training with Kung Fu in 1988 and later continued with Karate. He obtained his first Sho Dan from the Yoshukai Karate Federation, under Sensei Eriks Annuskans. From 1997 to 1998, while living at International House in New York City, Artis trained under Jimmy Mora. Upon his return to Latvia, Artis tested for his San Kyū and received his certificate signed by Onaga Yoshimitsu Kaichō. In order to maintain the Shinjinbukan School's training requirements, Sensei Mora & Artis Pabriks traveled on a regular basis between Riga & New York City. In 2005, Artis received his Sho Dan certificate during Onaga Sensei's first visit to Latvia. more In 2006, Artis visited the Shinjinbukan Honbu Dōjō in Okinawa during his official visit to Japan. more In June 2007, Artis visited Okinawa a second time to train under Onaga Kaichō and received his San Dan. more Dr. Pabriks served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs for the Republic of Latvia from 2004 to 2007. He has been the Lativan Defence Minister since 2010. He is the official representative of Shinjinbukan in Latvia, and is actively involved with the Martial Arts community in his country.
