わざ waza Glossary Category: Budō/General Terms , Okinawa Karate Dō/Techniques Lit. Art, technique. In Martial Arts, the term waza is used to describe a specific technique or proficiency level. However, it is a common misconception to associate waza (technique) with the maturity, depth or fighting spirit of a Martial Artist.
