GALLERY — A PHOTOGRAPHIC JOURNAL This visual journal was compiled to preserve the memories of my Martial Arts journey. More than twenty years ago, as a teenager, I was fascinated by martial arts. In 1991, as a young man, I joined U.S. Marine Corps and volunteered to go to Okinawa. I believe it was the Lord’s hand rather than luck that guided me to meet my teacher, Onaga Yoshimitsu Kaichō. A few months later, I became his Uchi Deshi. It has been an amazing journey to train at the Shinjinbukan School and learn about Ti directly from Onaga Kaichō. For this opportunity I am eternally grateful to my teacher. This story is about people sharing an ancient living tradition of martial arts across cultural barriers. This journey has taken me through very distincitve periods in my life. Therefore, I have choosen to divide this journal into the following time periods: The New York Years: 1996 — 2000 The International Years: 2006 — Present Some of the photographs posted in this collection were provided to me by people associated directly and indirectly with the Shinjinbukan School. To the best of my knowledge, these photos are credited to their original sources. I thank those people for their contributions to my website and recognize all relevant copyright terms. Jimmy Mora
This Photographic Journal is available to all Shinjinbukan members worldwide.
