Kakie Preparatory Drills

We started with some preparatory Drills used to teach Kakie.  These drills are used to develop an understanding of Shokusokugi and many other related concepts.

Nigiri Dama Drills

We continued our training using Nigiri Dama, a tool made of hey or straw, which is used to learn how to close the hand for a strike.  This technique is used to develop the hand's torquing force used in Karate, known as shiboru

Ti Machiwara — Basic Drills

Another important trademark of the Shinjinbukan School is Ti Machiwara.  It is used to develop the correct wrist control and accuracy for each hand strike.  The Basic Ti Machiwara Drills also combine Tsuki and Tenshin.  The Ti Machiwara should not be confused with the Machiwara also know as Tachi Machiwara
