The official website of the Shinjinbukan NY Shibu Dōjō (Branch School) and its Associates in Latvia, France & Germany.
The Shinjinbukan School was founded by Onaga Yoshimitsu Kaichō in Okinawa, Japan. His teachings are based on Ti (ティー), the ancient Okinawan Martial Art, which preceded modern Karate.
The Shinjinbukan New York Shibu Dōjō was the first Shinjinbukan Branch in the United States.
It was founded in 1996 by Jimmy Mora, a direct student of Onaga Yoshimitsu Kaichō.
Our Dōjō was incorporated under the legal name Shinjinbukan Foundation, as a 501(c)(3) Not-for-Profit Corporation.
