THE SHINJINBUKAN NEW YORK BRANCH

The Shinjinbukan New York Shibu Dōjō, founded in 1996 by Sensei Jimmy Mora, was the first Shinjinbukan Branch in the United States.  Our mission is to preserve and promote the traditions of the Shinjinbukan School in Okinawa, Japan.  Our school is a private Dōjō offering classes to a selected group of students of all ages.    

Our classes are held at Ripley-Grier Studios, located at:

An appointment is required prior to visiting our Dōjō.  New students are only accepted on a trial basis after completing an interview & screening process.

Our fees WILL NOT be discussed over the phone, but only during the interview process. 
Our basic fees are divided in the following categories:
    — Junior Students:  All minors (17 and below) MUST register for one full session during Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall. 
    — New Adult Students:  All adults accepted on a trial basis are required to register for 10 lessons. 
    — Permanent Dōjō Members:  All permanent members will pay Dōjō fees annually. 

All students and members at our Dōjō are required to pay an annual registration fee to the Shinjinbukan Honbu Dōjō in Okinawa, Japan.  The annual registration fee is collected only once per year, during the month of January, and it is calculated based on the following rates:
    — Yūdansha: Black Belts or Shinjinbukai Affiliate Members
    — Mudansha: Junior Belts (All Ages)
